Meatball Preparation

    Preheat Oven

    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Mix Ingredients

    In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

    Form Meatballs

    Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

    Bake Meatballs

    Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.

    Prepare Marinara

    In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through.

    Assemble Grinders

    Slice the sub rolls lengthwise and place them on a baking tray. Add a generous amount of marinara sauce on the bottom of each roll.

    Add Meatballs

    Place 3-4 meatballs on top of the marinara sauce in each sub roll.

    Top with Cheese

    Sprinkle a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the meatballs in each sub.

    Melt Cheese

    Place the assembled grinders back in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

    Garnish

    Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately.
