Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meats

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Slice the meatballs and set aside.

  2. 2

    Slice the Vegetables

While the sausage is cooking, slice the black olives, red onion, and mushrooms. Set aside in a bowl.

  3. 3

    Make the Marinara Sauce

If you're using house-made marinara sauce, ensure it's warmed in a pot over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On a large baking sheet or pizza stone, spread the warmed marinara sauce evenly across the surface.

  2. 5

    Add the Meats

Layer the cooked Italian sausage, sliced meatballs, and pepperoni evenly over the marinara sauce.

  3. 6

    Add the Vegetables

Sprinkle the sliced black olives, red onion, and mushrooms evenly over the meat layer.

  4. 7

    Add the Cheese

Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.

Cooking

  1. 8

    Bake

Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Place the assembled loaded dish in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve hot.
