Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

Chill Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to ensure it's cold before churning.

Churn Ice Cream
Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Add Mix-ins (Optional)
If desired, add chocolate chips or crushed nuts during the last few minutes of churning.

Freeze Ice Cream
Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container and freeze it for at least 4 hours to harden.
Serving

Scoop two generous scoops of ice cream into a bowl or cone. Add toppings such as chocolate syrup or fresh berries as desired. Enjoy!
