Marinade
For Frying
Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Combine Marinade Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, minced garlic, honey, grated ginger, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and vegetable oil until well combined.
- 2
Marinate Chicken Wings
Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Frying
- 3
Heat Oil
In a large, deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry Chicken Wings
Carefully add the marinated chicken wings to the hot oil, in batches if necessary, to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, turning occasionally.
- 5
Drain Wings
Once cooked, remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste while they are still hot.
