Main Ingredients

Marinade

Balsamic Glaze

Method

Preparation of Marinade

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and paprika until well combined.

Marinating the Shrimp

  1. 2

    Marinate Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Preparing Asparagus

  1. 3

    Prepare Asparagus

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and toss them in a little olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Making Balsamic Glaze

  1. 4

    Reduce Balsamic Vinegar

In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until reduced by half and slightly thickened, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Grill Shrimp and Asparagus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until they are pink and opaque. Grill the asparagus for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until tender and slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Serve

Arrange grilled shrimp and asparagus on a serving platter. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
