Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Creamy Cheese Sauce

In the same skillet used for the shrimp, lower the heat to medium. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and smooth. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce is creamy and well combined. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine and Serve

  1. 4

    Combine Everything

Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce in the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. Then, gently fold in the sautéed shrimp and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

  2. 5

    Serve

Serve the fettuccine with shrimp in bowls, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
