Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Sauce

  1. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. 3

    Add Tomatoes and Wine

Stir in the crushed plum tomatoes and dry white wine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  3. 4

    Season the Sauce

Add red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Cooking the Seafood

  1. 5

    Add Shrimp, Clams, and Mussels

Add the shrimp, clams, and mussels to the simmering sauce. Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and the clams and mussels have opened.

  2. 6

    Finish with Fresh Basil

Stir in the chopped fresh basil just before serving. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serving

  1. 7

    Combine and Serve

Toss the cooked linguine with the seafood and sauce until well combined. Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
