Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the ribeye steaks with olive oil. Generously season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, ensuring both sides are evenly coated.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C). This ensures a good sear on the steaks.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side, without moving them, to develop a nice crust.

  3. 5

    Flip and Add Butter

Flip the steaks using tongs and add the butter and fresh rosemary on top of the steaks. Grill for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness.

  4. 6

    Check for Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should read 130°F (54°C).

Resting

  1. 7

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Slice the ribeye steaks against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your perfectly grilled ribeye steak!
