Method
Preparation of Lobster Cakes
- 1
Prepare the Lobster
Chop the cooked lobster meat into small, bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, chopped parsley, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- 3
Shape the Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place the formed lobster cakes on a plate or tray.
Cooking the Lobster Cakes
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- 5
Fry the Cakes
Carefully place the lobster cakes into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 6

Arrange the lobster cakes on a serving platter. Serve with lemon wedges and tartar sauce on the side.
