Sides (Optional)

Method

Pork Chop Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Pork Chops

Pat the Duroc pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sear the Pork Chops

Add the seasoned pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust.

Marinade Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Marinade

While the pork chops are cooking, mince the garlic and chop the fresh rosemary. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped rosemary, lemon juice, and honey.

  2. 5

    Marinate the Pork Chops

Once the pork chops are seared, remove them from the skillet and place in the bowl with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Optional Sides Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the ends of the asparagus and toss them in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

  2. 7

    Cook the Potatoes

Boil or roast the potatoes until tender. If boiling, drain and toss with butter, salt, and pepper.

Finishing Touch

  1. 8

    Finish Cooking the Pork Chops

Return the marinated pork chops to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the pork chops hot with the optional sides of asparagus and potatoes. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top.
