Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for cooking the bacon.

Prepare the Glaze
In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Arrange the Bacon
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet and arrange the thick cut bacon on the rack in a single layer.

Glaze the Bacon
Using a brush or spoon, generously coat each piece of bacon with the spicy maple glaze, making sure to cover both sides.

Bake the Bacon
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.

Once done, remove the bacon from the oven and let it cool on the wire rack for a few minutes. Serve warm as a delicious breakfast side or snack.
