Make the Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Allow to cool.

Prepare the Fruit
Choose your fresh fruit (e.g., watermelon, mango, or pineapple), chop it into small pieces, and measure out 3 cups.

Blend the Ingredients
In a blender, combine the prepared fruit, 4 cups of water, and the cooled sugar syrup. Blend until smooth.

Strain (Optional)
If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp.

Add Flavorings
Stir in 1 cup of fresh mint leaves and 1 cup of lime juice. Adjust sweetness with more sugar or lime juice if needed.

Chill the agua fresca in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve over ice and garnish with lime slices and additional mint leaves if desired.
