Cleanser

Method

Cleanser

  1. 1

Wet face with warm (not hot) water. Dispense approximately 1 tablespoon of gentle foaming cleanser into clean hands.

  2. 2

Massage cleanser into skin using gentle circular motions for 30–60 seconds, focusing on the forehead, nose, chin and any areas with makeup or sunscreen. Avoid vigorous scrubbing.

  3. 3

Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat skin dry with a soft towel. Leave skin slightly damp to help serums absorb.

Exfoliation (weekly)

  1. 4

Use once or twice weekly (optional)

If using a chemical exfoliant, apply 1 teaspoon after cleansing on clean, dry skin no more than 1–2 times per week. Follow product instructions and avoid combining with retinoids or strong prescriptions the same night. If irritation occurs, reduce frequency or discontinue.

Treatment (Curology-inspired serum)

  1. 5

After cleansing (and after exfoliant on exfoliation nights, once skin is dry), apply hyaluronic acid first to damp skin: use ~1/2 teaspoon and gently spread evenly across face to boost hydration.

  2. 6

Allow hyaluronic to absorb for 30–60 seconds. Then dispense niacinamide (about 1/2 teaspoon) and lightly pat across the face concentrating on redness, enlarged pores, or texture issues. Niacinamide helps regulate oil production and strengthen barrier.

  3. 7

If using azelaic acid (10% cream), apply a small pea-sized amount (~1/4 teaspoon) and gently smooth over areas of discoloration, redness, or acne-prone zones. If you are using a prescription custom blend (as Curology offers) follow your dermatologist’s dosing — do not mix strong prescription actives unless instructed.

  4. 8

If you use any prescription retinoid in the evening, do not combine it the same night as strong chemical exfoliants. Start retinoids slowly (2–3 nights per week) and use moisturizer to buffer if irritation occurs.

Moisturizer

  1. 9

After treatment serums absorb (about 30–60 seconds), apply about 1 teaspoon of lightweight non-comedogenic moisturizer. Press gently into skin. For very dry skin, add ~1/4 teaspoon facial oil to the moisturizer in your palm and press together before applying.

  2. 10

If any irritation or excessive dryness occurs, increase moisturizing frequency or switch to a cream with ceramides and glycerin. For persistent irritation consult a dermatologist.

Sun protection

  1. 11

In the morning routine, always finish with at least 1 teaspoon of broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 applied to the face. Reapply every 2 hours when exposed to sun. Sunscreen is essential when using exfoliants, retinoids, or acids.

Tools

  1. 12

Use clean fingertips or a silicone spatula to dispense products to reduce contamination. Wash the washcloth regularly and avoid using harsh scrubs or brushes that irritate the skin.
