Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Trout Dip Base
In a mixing bowl, combine the smoked trout, cream cheese, and sour cream. Use a fork to break the trout into smaller pieces and thoroughly mix until smooth.
- 2
Add Flavorings
Stir in the chopped green onions, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- 3
Chill the Dip
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- 4
Prepare Toast Points
While the dip is chilling, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the bread into triangles or strips to create toast points. Arrange them on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
- 5
Toast the Bread
Bake the toast points in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- 6
Serve
Once the dip has chilled, serve it in a bowl alongside the warm toast points for dipping.
