Wine Making Process
- 1
Harvesting Grapes
Select ripe grapes from the vineyard. Ensure that they are free from any rot or disease.
- 2
Crushing and Destemming
Crush the harvested grapes to release their juice. Use a destemmer to separate the stems from the grapes to avoid bitterness.
- 3
Fermentation
Transfer grape juice to a fermentation vessel. Add yeast to the juice to initiate fermentation. Allow the mixture to ferment for 7 to 14 days, monitoring temperature and sugar levels.
- 4
Adding Sulfites
After fermentation, add sulfites to the wine to stabilize it and prevent spoilage.
- 5
Adding Tannins
Add tannins to enhance the wine's structure and mouthfeel.
- 6
Clarification
Allow the wine to settle for a few weeks for sediment to drop to the bottom. Optionally, filter the wine to clarify.
