Bread Ingredients
Method
Bread Preparation
Mixing the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Stir together until well combined.
Adding Wet Ingredients
Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Kneading the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Shaping the Loaf
Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it into a greased loaf pan.
Second Rise
Cover the loaf with a cloth and let it rise for another 30-40 minutes until puffy.
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Baking the Loaf
Bake the loaf in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Cooling
Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
