Mild white fish baked and smothered in a Parmesan mushroom cream sauce. Served with a side of bow tie pasta in Parmesan mushroom cream sauce or steamed vegetables.

Prepare the Tilapia
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the tilapia fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, dried Italian herbs, and lemon juice. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.

Combine with Fish
Pour the mushroom cream sauce over the seared tilapia fillets, ensuring they are well coated.

Cook the Pasta
While the fish is baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bow tie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Combine Pasta with Sauce
Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Add 0.25 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and a bit of the mushroom cream sauce from the fish to coat the pasta. Stir to combine.

Once the tilapia is done baking, serve it on a plate with a generous portion of the mushroom cream sauce spooned over the top. Serve alongside the pasta or steamed vegetables if desired.
