- 1
Cook the Meat
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- 2
Add Ground Meats
Add ground beef and Italian sausage to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- 3
Combine with Sauce Ingredients
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, and sugar. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4
Add Pepperoni and Meatballs
Mix in chopped meatballs and pepperoni slices. Cook for an additional 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare the Cheese Mixture
- 5
Mix the Cheese Filling
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and grated Romano cheese. Mix well until smooth.
Assemble the Lasagna
- 6
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 7
Layer the Lasagna
In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Lay down 3 lasagna noodles, then spread a layer of the cheese mixture, followed by a layer of meat sauce. Repeat this process, creating 6 layers total, finishing with a layer of meat sauce.
- 8

Bake the Lasagna
- 9
Cover and Bake
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
