Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add bow tie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Chicken or Veal

  1. 2

    Sauté the Protein

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Season the chicken or veal pieces with salt and black pepper. Add them to the skillet and sauté until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

Making the Sauce

  1. 3

    Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms are tender and golden, about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add Marsala Wine

Pour in the sweet Marsala wine and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the wine reduces slightly.

  3. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.

Combining

  1. 6

    Combine Everything

Return the sautéed chicken or veal to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the meat. Let it cook for an additional minute to heat through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Serve the Marsala over the cooked bow tie pasta or alongside steamed vegetables, drizzling additional sauce over the top.
