Method
Preparing the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

Form the Patty
Shape the mixture into a patty about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Add Cheese
After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the burger and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger

Prepare the Bun
While the burger is cooking, slice the burger bun in half and toast it lightly if desired.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of the bun, layer the lettuce, cooked burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slice, onion slices, and pickles. Top it off with ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients.

Slice the burger in half if desired, and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
