Preparing Buñuelos

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.

Form the Dough
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth dough forms. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.

Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry Buñuelos
Using a spoon, drop small balls of dough into the hot oil, frying a few at a time to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

In a chilled bowl, add the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Using an electric mixer, whip until soft peaks form.
