Prepare the Base

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the sugar, mixing until light and fluffy.

4. Add Eggs and Vanilla

5. Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Make the Blueberry Swirl

6. Prepare Blueberry Mixture

In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh blueberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

7. Cook and Thicken

Cook the mixture for about 5-7 minutes, or until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Assemble and Bake
