1

Prepare glass

If you want a salted rim, run the lime wedge around the outside rim of a rocks glass (or lowball). Spread the coarse salt on a small plate and gently dip just the outer edge of the glass into the salt so it adheres. Fill the glass with fresh ice for serving and set aside.

2

Measure and add to shaker

Add 2 oz Olmeca Reposado Tequila, 1 oz triple sec, and 1 oz fresh lime juice to a cocktail shaker. If you prefer a slightly sweeter Margarita, add 0.25 oz agave syrup (adjust to taste).

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice (enough to nearly fill the shaker). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the drink to the proper balance.

4

Strain and serve

Using a cocktail strainer, strain the shaken Margarita into the prepared rocks glass over the fresh ice. If you salted the rim, take care to avoid dislodging the salt.

5

Garnish and finish

Garnish with the reserved lime wedge on the rim or floated in the glass. Serve immediately.
