Shrimp Preparation

    Boil the Shrimp

    In a large pot, combine the water, lemon slices, bay leaves, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.

    Add the Shrimp

    Once boiling, add the shrimp to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

    Cool the Shrimp

    Immediately remove the pot from heat and transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for 5 minutes.

    Drain and Chill

    Drain the shrimp and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

    Mix Ingredients

    In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.

    Season the Sauce

    Stir well and add salt to taste. Adjust the seasonings based on your preference.

    Chill the Sauce

    Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the cocktail sauce for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

    Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.
