Meatball Preparation
- 1
Mix the Meatball Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, minced onion, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and the beaten egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place the formed meatballs on a plate or baking sheet.
Cooking the Meatballs
- 3
Heat the Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- 4
Cook the Meatballs
Add the meatballs to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.
- 5
Add Marinara Sauce
Once the meatballs are browned, pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs in the skillet. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
