In a large pot, fill with water and bring to a rolling boil. Add a generous amount of salt to the water.

Add 12 oz of linguini to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the linguini and set aside.
Preparing Clam Sauce

Clean Clams
Rinse the fresh clams under cold water and scrub the shells to remove any dirt or sand.

In a large skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 4 teaspoons of minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the cleaned clams to the skillet along with 1 cup of dry white wine. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the clams open.
