Clean the Mussels
Rinse the fresh mussels under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Scrub the shells with a brush and remove any beards by pulling them out with your fingers.

Add Tomatoes and Wine
Pour in the canned diced tomatoes (with juice) and white wine. Stir to combine, and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Season the Sauce
Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Cook the Mussels
Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover with a lid, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels open up. Discard any mussels that do not open.

Garnish and Serve
Once cooked, stir in the chopped fresh parsley. Serve the mussels hot with the tomato sauce, accompanied by crusty bread for dipping.
