Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Broiler

Set your oven to broil and allow it to preheat for about 10 minutes while you prepare the ingredients.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Flounder

Rinse the flounder fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Wine Sauce

  1. 3

    Make the Wine Sauce

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Add Wine and Lemon Juice

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, then bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes, reducing slightly.

  3. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Broiling

  1. 6

    Broil the Flounder

Arrange the seasoned flounder fillets on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Spoon the wine sauce generously over each fillet.

  2. 7

    Cook Under the Broiler

Place the baking sheet under the broiler and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve the Dish

Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. Serve the broiled flounder hot, drizzled with any remaining wine sauce, and garnish with additional parsley if desired.
