Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

1

Prep the Chicken

Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

2

Marinate

Pour the buttermilk over the chicken wings and mix well. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Breading and Frying

3

Prepare Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well.

4

Coat the Wings

Remove the chicken wings from the buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge the wings in the flour mixture until fully coated.

5

Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

6

Fry the Wings

Fry the wings in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Dipping Sauce Preparation

7

Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well until smooth.

8

Serve

Serve the crispy chicken wings hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
