Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps in cooking the steak evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry using paper towels. Drizzle olive oil on both sides of the steak, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the seasoning into the meat to ensure it's well coated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over high heat. Allow it to heat up until it is very hot but not smoking.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned steak in the hot pan. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it around. Flip the steak and add butter and rosemary to the pan.

  5. 5

    Baste the Steak

Using a spoon, baste the steak with the melted butter and rosemary for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust the time according to your desired doneness.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the pan and place it on a cutting board. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes.

  7. 7

    Slice and Serve

After resting, slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your juicy steak cooked to perfection!
