Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce and Toppings

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the base, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese, followed by crumbled goat cheese, sliced fresh tomatoes, and dollops of olive tapenade.

  4. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  5. 9

    Garnish

Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
