Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Wings

In a bowl, combine the honey and soy sauce. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Fries

While the wings are marinating, slice the potatoes into thin strips to make hand-sliced fries. Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Cook the Fries

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain the fries and pat them dry with a paper towel. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

  4. 4

    Cook the Wings

Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the wings from the marinade and toss them in your choice of sauce (Buffalo, Sweet Heat, or any dry rub seasoning). Cook the wings for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through and crispy.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the wings along with the fresh hand-sliced fries. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
