Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of Italian bread.

Layer the Ingredients
On one slice of bread, layer the lettuce, followed by the tomato slices and pickles. Place the second slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side down.

Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately with your choice of a cup of soup or a side salad.
