Brewing Process
1. Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil.
2. Add Malted Barley
Once the water is boiling, gradually add 2 cups of malted barley while stirring continuously to avoid clumping.
3. Add Corn Syrup
Stir in 1 cup of corn syrup and let the mixture simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Add Hops
After 30 minutes, add 0.5 cups of hops to the mixture and let it boil for another 15 minutes.
5. Cool the Mixture
Remove the pot from heat and cool the mixture down to room temperature.
6. Add Yeast
Once cooled, add 1 tsp of yeast to the mixture and stir gently to combine.
7. Ferment
Transfer the mixture to a fermentation vessel and let it ferment in a dark, cool place for about 1 week.
8. Carbonate
After fermentation is complete, carefully add carbon dioxide to the beer to achieve desired fizziness.
9. Bottle
Pour the beer into clean bottles or cans, leaving some space at the top, and seal tightly.
10. Chill and Serve
Refrigerate for a few hours before serving. Enjoy your homemade Busch NA in a chilled glass or directly from the can!
