Smoothie Base

Dry/Thickening Add-ins

Method

Prepare Ingredients

1

Pit and soak dates

If your dates are dry, pit them and soak in 2 tablespoons of warm water for 5–10 minutes to soften. If they are soft Medjools, use them as-is.

2

Measure oat flakes, chop or roughly break the mixed nuts into smaller pieces (reserve about 10 g for topping). Slice the banana and scoop half an avocado into a bowl.

Blend Smoothie

3

Add liquids and powders first

Pour 300 ml halfvolle melk into a blender. Add 1 scoop Kevin Levrone Gold Whey protein powder to the milk to help it dissolve more evenly.

4

Add fruits and thickening agents

Add the sliced banana, half avocado, the soaked/pitted dates (including any soaking liquid), and 40 g rolled oats to the blender.

5

Add nuts and optional ingredients

Add 30 g roughly chopped mixed nuts to the blender. If you want a colder, thicker smoothie, add 3 ice cubes. Add 1/4 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp honey or maple syrup if you want extra sweetness.

6

Blend

Secure the lid and blend on medium-high for 45–75 seconds, pausing once to scrape down the sides. Blend until completely smooth and creamy with no large nut or oat pieces. If too thick, add 30–60 ml more milk and pulse again until desired consistency is reached.

Serve

7

Pour the smoothie into a large glass (approximately 500–600 ml capacity). Sprinkle the reserved 10 g chopped nuts on top as a garnish and, optionally, a light dusting of cinnamon.

8

Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
