Smoothie Base

Method

Prep

1

Prepare fruit

If using fresh berries, rinse and pat dry. Core and chop the apple into small pieces (skin can be left on). Slice the banana. If açaí is in a block, thaw slightly so it breaks into chunks.

2

Measure powders (baobab and hemp protein) and set aside.

Blend Smoothie

3

Layer ingredients in blender

Add liquids first: pour the almond milk and cold water into the blender. This helps with smooth blending.

4

Add baobab powder and hemp protein on top of the liquid to prevent sticking to blender blades.

5

Add fruits: place the frozen açaí chunks, frozen blueberries, frozen blackberries, frozen strawberries, black currants (or extra blackberries), chopped apple, and sliced banana into the blender.

6

Blend

Start blending on low speed for 10–15 seconds to break up large pieces, then increase to high and blend 30–45 seconds until smooth and creamy. If mixture is too thick or motor strains, stop and add 1–2 tablespoons more water and blend again. If too thin, add 1/4 cup more frozen berries or an extra ice cube and pulse until desired thickness.

Adjust & Serve

7

Taste the smoothie. If you prefer sweeter, add maple syrup or honey 1 teaspoon at a time and blend briefly to incorporate.

8

Pour into a 12–16 oz glass. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a sprinkle of hemp seeds if desired.

9

Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
