Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Onions
Slice the onion thinly. In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil and the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 2
Make That Sauce
In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and paprika. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions. Form into balls and season with sea salt. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the beef balls in the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to create patties. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip, top each patty with a slice of American cheese, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Toast the potato buns lightly. Spread 'that sauce' on the bottom bun, add the smashed patties with melted cheese, caramelized onions, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
- 5
Serve
Serve the burgers with sea salt fries on the side.
