Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Roast the Brussels Sprouts

Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown, stirring halfway through.

  3. 3

    Candy the Pecans

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pecans and brown sugar. Stir continuously until the pecans are coated and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the sweet serrano sauce with a bit of water if necessary to thin it out. Set aside.

  5. 5

    Combine and Serve

Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven and place them in a serving dish. Top with the candied pecans, grated Parmesan cheese, and sliced green onions. Drizzle with the sweet serrano sauce before serving.
