Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until well combined.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Vanilla and Eggs

Add the vanilla extract and mix. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined.

  4. 8

    Mix in Flour

Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix until fully incorporated, but do not overmix.

  5. 9

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Baking the Cheesecake

  1. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  2. 11

    Cool the Cheesecake

Once baked, turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for about 1 hour.

  3. 12

    Refrigerate

After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to set completely.
