Dough

Method

Prepare the Dough

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm milk (110°F) and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Prepare the Filling

  1. 5

    Mix Filling Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Melt the butter and set aside.

Assemble the Rolls

  1. 6

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Spread Filling

Spread the melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.

  3. 8

    Roll and Cut

Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

  4. 9

    Prepare for Baking

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake the Rolls

  1. 10

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 11

    Bake

Bake the cinnamon rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Prepare the Icing

  1. 12

    Mix Icing Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Serve

  1. 13

    Icing and Enjoy

Once the rolls are baked, drizzle the icing over the warm rolls and enjoy!
