Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle the mint and sugar

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils, mixing them with the sugar.

  2. 2

    Add lime juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass. You can also add a few wedges for extra flavor if desired.

  3. 3

    Mix in the rum

Pour in the white rum over the muddled mint, sugar, and lime mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.

  5. 5

    Top with soda water

Pour soda water over the ice until the glass is full. Give it a gentle stir to mix.

  6. 6

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw.
