Method

Syrup Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ginger Syrup

In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh ginger, sugar, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Syrup

Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes. This allows the ginger flavor to infuse into the syrup.

  3. 3

    Strain the Syrup

After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat and allow it to cool. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a clean container to remove the ginger pieces.

  4. 4

    Add Lemon Juice

Stir in the lemon juice into the strained syrup. Your ginger syrup is now ready to use.

Soda Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Syrup and Soda

In a large pitcher, add the prepared ginger syrup and club soda. Stir gently to combine, being careful not to lose too much carbonation.

  2. 6

    Serve Over Ice

Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the ginger soda mixture over the ice.

  3. 7

    Garnish and Enjoy

Garnish each glass with a few fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing ginger soda!
