Method

Preparing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 4 cups of fresh water to a boil. The ideal temperature for green tea is around 175°F (80°C), for Earl Grey and Oolong about 200°F (93°C), and for Jasmine about 185°F (85°C).

  2. 2

    Measure Tea Leaves

Measure out 2 tsp of Green, Earl Grey, Oolong, and Jasmine tea leaves into separate tea infusers or a teapot. For mint tea, measure 1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves.

  3. 3

    Steep the Tea

Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves in the infusers or teapot. Let steep for 3-5 minutes depending on the type of tea. Green tea should steep for 2-3 minutes, Earl Grey and Oolong for 4-5 minutes, and Jasmine for 3-5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Remove the Leaves

After the steeping time, carefully remove the infusers or strain the tea to discard the leaves.

Serving the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, add honey and lemon slices to taste for sweetness and flavor.

  2. 6

    Serve

Pour the tea into cups and serve hot. Enjoy your selection of hot tea!
