Method
Preparation
- 1
Toast the Levain Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the slices of levain bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Burrata
While the bread is toasting, remove the burrata cheese from its packaging and allow it to come to room temperature for about 10 minutes. This will enhance its creamy texture.
Assembly
- 3
Spread the Burrata
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Use a spoon to scoop the burrata cheese and spread it generously over each slice of toasted levain bread.
- 4
Add Toppings
Sprinkle the sliced almonds evenly over the burrata. Drizzle honey on top of each toast for added sweetness.
- 5
Finish with Garnishes
If desired, add a few fresh basil leaves on top for flavor, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
