Garnish & Finish
Optional: Frozen Rocks / On the Rocks Variation
Method
Cocktail
- 1
Prepare glass (optional salted rim)
If you prefer a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass, then dip the rim into coarse salt on a small plate. Set the glass aside.
- 2
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Casamigos Tequila Blanco, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, and 0.5 oz agave nectar.
- 3
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with 4–6 ice cubes, cap it, and shake vigorously for about 12–15 seconds until the shaker is cold and the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.
- 4
Strain
Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. For a straight-up margarita use a chilled coupe or martini glass. For an on-the-rocks serving, strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass (see optional variation).
Garnish & Serve
- 5
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
Optional: Frozen Rocks / On the Rocks Variation
- 6
If serving on the rocks, fill the glass with fresh ice (about 1 cup), then strain the shaken cocktail over the ice. Adjust agave nectar to taste if desired and serve with a lime wedge.
