Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the Wagyu New York Strip Steak generously with salt and crushed black peppercorns on both sides. Let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Asparagus

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus and season with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and keep warm.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steak

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and bring to high heat. Add the steak and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time based on thickness. Remove steak from skillet and let it rest.

  4. 4

    Make the Au Poivre Sauce

In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and remaining crushed black peppercorns. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring frequently.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the rested steak and serve over the sautéed asparagus. Drizzle the au poivre sauce over the steak and garnish with fresh parsley.
