Cinnamon Sugar

Method

Churro Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine water, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

    Add Flour

Once the mixture reaches a boil, remove it from heat and quickly stir in the all-purpose flour until the dough forms a ball. Let it cool for a couple of minutes.

  3. 3

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

Cinnamon Sugar Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside for later use.

Frying the Churros

  1. 5

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 6

    Pipe the Dough

Transfer the churro dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Carefully pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them to your desired length with scissors.

  3. 7

    Fry Until Golden

Fry the churros for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Coat in Cinnamon Sugar

While the churros are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly. Serve immediately.
