Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Toast the Hazelnuts

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts evenly on a baking sheet and roast them for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and fragrant. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

  2. 2

    Blend Hazelnuts

Once the hazelnuts have cooled, transfer them to a blender or food processor. Blend until they form a smooth paste.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large, airtight glass jar, combine the hazelnut paste, vodka, sugar, water, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and coffee extract. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  4. 4

    Infuse

Seal the jar tightly and place it in a cool, dark place. Allow the mixture to infuse for at least 2 weeks, shaking the jar gently every few days to mix the ingredients.

  5. 5

    Strain the Mixture

After 2 weeks, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bottle, discarding the solids. Make sure to squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

  6. 6

    Bottle and Store

Transfer the strained Frangelico into a clean bottle. Seal it tightly and store it in the refrigerator. It can be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature.
