Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the Roma tomatoes thoroughly. Remove the stems and chop them into small dice. Place the diced tomatoes in a bowl.
- 2
Add Flavorings
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Add the minced garlic to the bowl with the diced tomatoes. Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the mixture as well.
- 3
Season the Topping
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil over the tomato mixture. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir everything gently to combine and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Bread Preparation
- 4
Slice the Baguette
Take the baguette and slice it into 1/2-inch thick slices diagonally.
- 5
Assembly
- 6
Top the Bread
Once the bread is grilled, remove it from the grill and place it on a serving platter. Spoon the tomato, garlic, and basil mixture generously on top of each slice.

Serve
Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is warm. Optionally, drizzle a little more olive oil on top for added flavor.
