For the FrenchXican Toast
Method
Preparing the FrenchXican Toast
Make the Egg Batter
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
Prepare the Brioche
Dip each slice of brioche bread in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Let excess mixture drip off.
Cook the Toast
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Cook the dipped brioche slices for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Brulee the Sugar
Once cooked, sprinkle sugar on top of each slice and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it forms a crispy layer.
Serve with Mixed Berries
Serve the FrenchXican toast topped with mixed berries and extra horchata glaze if desired.
